Description
It's a mythical whitewater descent, practised for a very long time by kayakers. It's seen generations of kayakers come and go, and it's ready to welcome the latest youngsters who dare to race down it! Derby for teams of 3 kayakers.
The Vénéon Derby was born out of a passion for mountain sports and the Vénéon River. After countless descents down this alpine torrent, we decided that this river deserved its own annual event. Inspired by ski derbies—particularly the one in neighboring La Grave—we realized that by applying the same principles—namely, racing down an entire mountain slope with time as the sole judge—to kayaking, we could create a one-of-a-kind event.
