A very short route: ideal for a quick workout or an introduction to mountain trail running, starting from the resort and offering a variety of beautiful views.
Terrain difficulty: The first section is hilly, followed by a somewhat technical descent and a climb over rocky terrain.
Rideability: Fairly smooth despite a significant elevation gain. The climb is a bit steep, with gradients up to 23%.
Beautiful views of the resort and the Ecrins Massif await you in a varied setting!
Through July, you’ll ride through alpine pastures with cows and bulls grazing in the meadows. Be sure to close gates securely if there are no designated green crossings for people, slow down, and remain calm when approaching the herds.
The descent after crossing the road is a bit technical for a trail running beginner, with a steep slope and narrow trails.
Behind the bus stop, take the path on the left that goes up into the woods and branches off to the right.
At the intersection on the right leading down to the road, cross the road and follow the trail downhill, following the yellow "Sainte Marie" markers
At the end of the descent, as you approach the road, immediately turn right onto a gravel path, following the signs for “Combe Fréry – AURIS – Station.”
At the next intersection, turn right again; this wooded trail will take you back below the swimming pool and to your starting point at the resort.
