Description

This permanent orienteering course for adults is perfect for exploring the area around Auris. Maps are available at the tourist office.

This trail takes you through the Piégut Forest to explore the hillside reservoir, the Col de Maronne, and the resort. This area offers an introduction to orienteering while allowing you to discover Auris’s remarkable viewpoints.
Since the goal is to navigate using natural and man-made landmarks to find the markers, it is recommended that you follow the search order for them. At each marker you find, punch your map using the red punch attached to a wooden post; questions are asked at each stage to test your knowledge of the mountain environment.

Since the route passes near alpine pastures, you may encounter guard dogs. Check with the tourist office to learn the proper way to interact with them.
