Col de Sarenne - mountain pass

The ascent to the Col de Sarenne between Grandes Rousses massif and Emparis plateau is sumptuous.

The Col de Sarenne - 1999 m - is a pass that has remained confidential despite the Tour de France's visit in 2013 (via the short climb from Alpe d'Huez) on the 18th stage... Surprisingly, it's also one of the most beautiful, with a quiet, almost traffic-free pastoral route through a protected natural area.

From Chambon dam, take the D25 towards Mizoën.
At the intersection with the D25a, head for Clavans and Col de Sarenne.
Continue along Route du Col de Sarenne.
