Daily life in the course of the seasons, a picture of this life in the past will enhance this walk.
Conditions as of 04/04/2026:
Mostly dry up to Enversin, except for a few small springs here and there trickling water, and a bit of snow after the bridge—just enough to look nice!
From the Enversin cable car down to the mill, it’s a mix of snow and bare patches, with more dry than snowy sections overall.
Practical advice: Suitable in hiking boots, or even trainers.
Trail conditions may continue to evolve depending on foot traffic and weather conditions.
Suggested route / precautions:
!WARNING! Check snow conditions: snowshoes may be required.
Take the cable car up to La Villette. At the Moulin, stay to the left for safety. Descend the Combes trail, continue to Enversin, then take the cable car back to Vaujany. Note: a sign at the Enversin cable car forbids snowshoes and pedestrians.
The trail climbs for about 10 minutes, then flattens out until the La Fare footbridge. After another short climb of 7–8 minutes, it descends to meet the La Fare piste. For safety, keep to the right on the piste.
From the Tourist Office, go towards the bakery. After the bakery, take the road down. Follow it all the way down to the crossroads with the other road, in front of you is the path leading to the Enversin d'Oz. Go down this path until you reach the bridge, then go straight up until you leave the path on the left for the one going straight on. You arrive in the hamlet of l'Enversin d'Oz. Visit the hamlet. Then retrace your steps on the path you left. Go up the last bend in the path to reach the road. Cross the road, continue in the direction of the combes (yellow sign), you arrive at the bridge, the mill and go up the steep path to the village.
