ITINERARY
From the refuge, the trail leaves the bottom of the Muande valley and rises rapidly through grassy slopes. Marmots and chamois will be your companions along the way. After a steady climb, the lake is revealed in all its splendour, with its turquoise waters dominated by the Aiguille des Arias. The panorama here is breathtaking, with the mythical peaks of the Écrins massif towering above you.
HIKING IN THE HEART OF THE ECRINS NATIONAL PARK
The Écrins massif is an exceptional area, open to all, with a rare natural, cultural and landscape heritage. To protect these treasures, the heart of the park is marked with blue-white-red painted flags, where regulations must be respected. Please take note of them when planning your hike, to help preserve this collective asset on www.ecrins-parcnational.fr.
