Use your map to explore the heart of Vaujany and discover the village from a different perspective.
Want to discover Vaujany in a different way?
Whether you're exploring the village's heritage with your family, enjoying the great outdoors or looking for a sporting challenge, discover the orienteering courses on offer in Vaujany. There's a course for everyone!
How does orienteering work?
Using your map, look for natural and man-made features around you (a lone tree, a rock, a bench, a signpost, etc.) to find the checkpoints, marked with circles on the map.
The starting point is marked with a red triangle. You must visit the checkpoints in the specified order, but you're free to choose your own route between them.
At each checkpoint, punch your map using the red punch attached to the wooden post. Check that the marks on your map match the symbols shown on your leaflet.
A few tips to help you find your way
Throughout the course, check your position by identifying features you can see around you on the map, such as buildings, roads, clumps of trees, signposts and junctions.
Once you've found and punched the final checkpoint, return to the starting point to complete your course.
Over to you!
