ITINERARY
Take the road on your right before St Christophe to the end. From the Clot parking lot, follow the signs for the Mariande valley. The trail descends through the ancient forest to the Clot bridge. As you cross the bridge, admire the gorges and the turquoise waters of the Vénéon. At the intersection above the bridge, follow the signs for Cascade de la Mariande. Pass the ruins of the former hamlet of Clot d'Outre and continue on to the waterfall. Retrace your steps to the previous intersection and take the path to the Rajat bridge/Lavey valley. After a short climb, the path descends to the Muande footbridge, cross it and continue on to the Rajat bridge, a superb stone bridge on the path up to the Lavey refuge.
For the return journey, take the same path and branch off directly towards Le Clot to return to the parking lot.
