Les Plagnes via les Clots and l'Ardoisière
Description
This varied route takes in the small ski resort of Le Chazelet
of Le Chazelet and offers an exceptional panorama of the north face
of the Meije and all the villages in the canton.
From the starting point at Le Chazelet (1770 m), follow the tarmac road above the village for around 200 m.
Turn left before the first houses and take the chemin
take the Chemin des Plagnes.
After approx. 200 m, turn right up a small path that joins a cross.
and follow the path upwards through the hay meadows to the second hairpin.
At this point, take the narrow path (lieu-dit Founcato) that joins the ski lift and runs alongside it as far as the wooden cross (lieu-dit Jacques Mathonet).
Continue along the path that crosses the Plagnes ski lift and joins the path (2005 m) leading to the Martignare valley.
Turn right and follow the signs to the "Col des Plagnes".

Descend the narrow path to the hamlet of Les Clots
(1916 m) (leave the path leading to La Celle des Juges on your left).
Cross the upper part of the hamlet and turn right onto the balcony path. Cross the small slate quarries (cables) and join the wide track that runs under the forest.
Descend towards the oratory, passing the orientation table. Rejoin the road and follow it for 300 m towards Le Chazelet. Cross the village to reach the starting point

On this walk, you'll discover the hamlets of La Grave, with their typical granaries, and admire a multitude of flower varieties.
