N°10 Romanche - Le Vallon de la Buffe

A circuit on rolling paths in the heart of the mountain pastures, with views of the Meije and its glaciers. A family hike, with plenty of opportunities for picnics.

Detailed itinerary : - From the parking lot, enter and cross the village on the RD 33 - At the bottom of the village, take the track on the left as the road rises, and continue on the track. - At the crow's-foot, take the right-hand track up the torrent du Gâ. - Pass through the hamlets of La Rama and Le Rivet de la Cime. - At the next junction, continue on the left-hand track, as close as possible to the torrent. - Pass under the Refuge du Pic du Mas de La Grave and the Chalets de la Buffe to reach the Barraque de la Buffe. - Once you've reached the Barraque de la Buffe, turn around and take the same path back to the Refuge du Pic du Mas de La Grave. - After the torrent, take the footbridge on the right to go back down to the other bank of the torrent du Gâ and climb up along the torrent des Combettes until you reach the path. - Once you've reached the path, turn left to go back down to Le Chazelet, always following the path as close as possible to the torrent. - At the hamlet of Le Vorze, rejoin the original trail and return to the hamlet of Le Chazelet.
