The loop from La Grave to Villar d'Arène

This magnificent trail alternates between the banks of the Romanche and the undergrowth of the Bois de la Chal d'Outre. Start from La Grave, opposite Notre-Dame de l'Assomption church.

The route begins by descending the small road from the Meije campsite, before moving gradually into the forest in the Bois de la Chal d'Outre, as far as Villar-d'Arène. After crossing the Romanche river, the route reaches the heart of the village, then takes the path on the left behind the cemetery. It then continues until you find the track leading back to the starting point.
