Description

The 26km trail run offers a great number of mountainous landscapes.

Starting on a small single in a larch forest, riders then cross terraced mountain pastures before arriving at a mountain lake. The second part of the course features a beautiful panorama of the Meije and a descent along a ridge line overlooking the canton. Competitors then switch to an isolated, wild valley, before a final descent through slate to the village of La Grave. This wild and varied route is in keeping with the spirit and climate of the Meije region.

Difficult sections

The climb between La Grave and Villar d'Arène, a little empty and the Romanche below.
On the descent after Le Chazelet before the Bon Repos chapel, a dangerous bend.

ATTENTION: The Ardoisières trail is currently closed, pending redevelopment work.
